Arina Colun is a London-based costume designer and maker whose experience spans live performance, public events and exhibitions. Her practice originates in drawing and other two-dimensional media, which she uses as a starting point for developing characters and silhouettes.

Throughout her studies at Wimbledon College of Arts, Colun has expanded this practice into textiles, exploring how ideas developed on paper can be translated into wearable forms. She is drawn to sculptural approaches and has developed an interest in puppetry and object-making alongside her costume practice.

Away from work, Colun enjoys returning to her home in Chișinău, Moldova, where she enjoys the slower rhythm of life surrounded by nature.
